I believe quilts are a representation of the human experience. Pieced quilts mirror identity through the assemblage of many parts to create the whole. I am heavily drawn to the slow processes of fibers and I use this time for dedicated meditation on my trans and queer identity, specifically as it relates to kink and the body. Much of my work specifically speaks to my experience navigating kink. I combine the aesthetic language of pieced quilts with self portraiture as a way to find joy and power in my transness. The acts that bring a feeling of euphoria, the clothes I am hot in, and the relationships with the highest level of trust.
