Our understanding of reality is breaking and fragmenting. There is an oversaturation of information and it is constantly shifting the way in which we perceive/navigate/materialize in the world. Over saturation and digitization of truth has led to conditions in which reality can be created and manipulated at a mass scale. The ways in which we think/remember are affected by these conditions. A distortion is left, blurring the lines of what is/was real versus true. In the search for truth, the visual language within my work reveals itself as a reflection of this phenomenon. Through painting I search for my own truth and look out onto the world reflecting how the fragments of all truth collide into a violent symphony of existence. I paint because I love, I love my family, I love people and the world. I paint my world as I see it to materialize my truth and love; to create something real in a world where real can lose meaning.
